REAL ECONOMY NEWS

IMAG0355Real Economy has seen a fantastic month, with our food buying groups receiving their first orders across Bristol and new groups starting up at a rate of 1 per week.

Want to know what’s available? Check out the webtool for a taste of what’s on offer.

You can see a map of buying groups by visiting our website www.realeconomy.co.uk and clicking ‘FOR BUYING GROUPS’. Anyone in Bristol can start a buying group – call Bea on 0117 929 8642 to register your interest.

We’re recruiting!

A core part of our work is to encourage buying groups to form in areas without many shops. We’re seeking to recruit a small team of volunteers who can help us with this aim. If you have good community connections in an area of Bristol where it’s hard to find fresh, affordable foods, we want to hear from you!

Deadline for applications: Monday 16th Feb, 8pm

Fresh, affordable food available to everyone

Find out how we’re achieving the vision!  In an interview by Helen Martin and published in Bristol 24/7 magazine, Bea discusses her role as Real Economy Co-ordinator, food deserts and farm visits. See the interview on the Bristol 24/7 website or in the January print edition, page 83
