How to get paper Bristol Pounds

Anyone can use printed Bristol Pounds to support Bristol's independent businesses. It’s a voluntary system. Simply exchange your sterling for paper Bristol Pounds at Access Points around the city (£B1=£1) and spend them in participating businesses.

Bristol Pound Access Points

Printed Bristol Pounds are available at the following Access Points in retail centres around the city. You can view them on a map here.

	Bristol Credit Union 112-114 Cheltenham Road, Bristol, BS6 5RW Opening times: 10am - 2.30pm, Monday - Friday
	The Rummer Hotel All Saints Lane, Old City, Bristol, BS1 1JH 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 6pm Monday - Friday, 11am - 6pm Saturday
	The Gallimaufry 26-28 The Promenade, Gloucester Road, Bristol, BS7 8AL 10am - 5pm Monday - Saturday, 11am - 5pm Sunday
	The Health Park Cafe 5 Knowle West Health Park, Downton Road, Knowle West, Bristol, BS4 1WH 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday

Bristol Pound members can also obtain printed Bristol Pounds at Access Points using their Bristol Pound accounts. This is done simply by making a normal TXT2PAY payment to the particular Access Point account (details available in each Access Point) with the amount equal to the value of printed Bristol Pounds you would like.

Business Members are also able to redeem printed Bristol Pounds that they have received as payments for electronic Bristol Pounds at any Access Point. When a business member hands over an amount of printed Bristol Pounds, the Access Point will make a TXT2PAY payment to the members Bristol Pound account of the same value. No fees are charged on these transactions.

Individual members and non-members are not able to redeem printed Bristol Pounds for electronic Bristol Pounds or for sterling.

N.B. Printed Bristol Pounds cannot be redeemed directly for sterling cash.
