Bristol Pound Piano sing along!

When: Thursday 17 August
Time: 6 - 8
Price: free!

Renowned artist Luke Jerram’s successful ‘Play me I’m Yours’ street pianos project returns to the streets of Bristol this summer, and Bedminster’s piano will be adorned with first edition Bristol Pound notes!

Come and have a sing song or a tinckle at a live community jam event on 17 August in the Tobacco Factory courtyard. Punters will be encouraged to sing and play along to the theme of money, led by a guest pianist on a beautiful hand decorated piano.

“The first edition Bristol Pound notes represent a massive contribution to Bristol’s local economy,” Say’s Ruby, Bristol Pound Membership Manager. “They symbolise our city’s determination to remain a unique and creative place that values independent businesses and all the fantastic benefits they bring to our communities. We are delighted to showcase them in the street pianos project!”

The event will be held from 6 – 8pm on Thursday 17 August. Punters will be given song sheets and will have the chance to exchange sterling for Bristol Pounds at a pop-up cash point. Pianists of any level especially welcome.
